About Danae

Hello and welcome! I am a qualified historian with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. I hold a degree in History and Archaeology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), along with two master’s degrees—one in Historical Research (AUTh) and another in Human Rights from the University of Macedonia (PAMAK). I have also completed specialized seminars in archival research and historical documentation. My expertise spans a wide range of historical fields, including the Cold War, American History, the Vietnam War, World History, Ancient Greek History, European History of the 19th and 20th century and History of Arts. Whether you're preparing for exams, working on university assignments, or simply passionate about history, I tailor each lesson to your needs and goals. I offer lessons in Greek, English, and Spanish, and I aim to create a learning environment that is both intellectually stimulating and supportive. My goal is not only to help you understand the past, but also to develop your critical thinking and academic skills. With professionalism, dedication, and a love for history, I’m here to guide you through your learning journey.

About the lesson

As a History tutor, I offer personalized, engaging lessons designed to make the past come alive. My teaching method is student-focused and adaptable—I use storytelling, critical thinking exercises, and visual aids (timelines, maps, sources) to help students understand historical events, causes, and consequences in depth.

A typical lesson begins with a short review, followed by the introduction of a key historical theme or period. We explore sources, debate perspectives, and work through analytical questions together. Each session ends with a recap and guidance for independent study or assignments.

What sets me apart is my ability to make history relevant and memorable. I emphasize skills like source analysis, essay writing, and argument building—especially useful for students preparing for exams or university applications.

My lessons are ideal for high school and university students, as well as adult learners with a passion for history. Whether you need help understanding a specific period or improving academic performance, I tailor each lesson to your goals.
