About Sayan
I am a dedicated Tabla artist with over 20 years of experience in Tabla playing. I started learning Tabla from my school days and it has been my passion ever since.
I am a proud disciple of *Prof. Asit Ghosh* and have been taking advanced taalim from him for many years. His guidance has shaped my musical journey.
I am honored to be a *Regular Artist of Doordarshan, Santiniketan*.
Along with my performance career, I am also an affiliated teacher of *Sarbabharatiya Sangit O Sanskriti Parishad, Kolkata*, where my students can appear for official music examinations.
I run my teach Tabla both online and offline. I am very disciplined and punctual about my classes and believe in teaching with patience and friendship.

> - *Accompaniment for Rabindrasangeet:* Learn how to play Tabla according to the taal, laya, and emotion (bhav) of Rabindrasangeet. Focus on perfect synchronization with vocal.
> - *Accompaniment for Folk Songs (Lokgeeti):* Practical training to play with various folk forms including Bhatiyali, Baul, Bhawaiya, Nazrul Geeti and other Bengali folk genres.
> - *Solo Tabla:* Complete training in Kayda, Rela, Tukda, Chakradar, Peshkar, and advanced compositions.

> - Singers who want to accompany their own singing on Tabla.
> - Students who want to become a professional accompanist for stage shows.

In my class, I don't just teach you to memorize taals. I train you to listen to a song, identify its taal, and play along with it practically, so you can easily accompany any Rabindrasangeet or Folk song on stage.
