About Alana
I am a third-year student at The University of Florida, but I took a gap year during which I tutored middle school students online in various subjects, but the subject I’m most confident in is English. I have also helped many students revise their college and even graduate school admissions essays. But, I think my strongest attribute is that I like to get to know my students, and I get invested in their academic success just as I do their day-to-day lives. If you ever want to take a brain break by telling me about your favorite dessert you’ve tried recently, you will make my day!

I’m a college student at a large university, so I understand firsthand the feeling of not getting enough personalized help with your learning. My strongest subject has always been English, but even I used to struggle with keeping various grammatical rules straight. English is a complicated language to master. However, thanks to an incredible tutor I had in high school, I realized learning the grammar rules we use (but don’t always consciously think about) on a daily basis is totally doable with the right help. With a proper grammatical foundation, you can level up your writing and even feel more confident in everyday speech!
