About Skyla
As an educator, I bring a diverse background to my tutoring services. I was an elementary school librarian in Hawaii, where I fostered a love for reading and learning among young students. Over the past five years, I’ve also trained individuals to communicate effectively in cross-cultural environments, including working closely with Deaf communities.
I hold a liberal arts degree and have completed coursework in linguistics, communication, technical writing, and more. My experience includes teaching comprehensive reading and writing curricula, helping students of all ages develop strong literacy skills. I’m dedicated to providing high-quality, effective tutoring that meets each student's unique learning needs. With a focus on clear communication and practical learning strategies, I aim to empower every student to excel in reading, writing, and public speaking.
