About Luther
I’m a former engineering professor with over a decade of experience teaching math, robotics, and computer science at the college and graduate level. I’ve always loved making complex ideas feel approachable, and I bring that same energy and clarity to every tutoring session. Whether you're struggling with basic math or preparing for advanced coursework in geometry or statistics, I meet you where you are and help you build both skill and confidence. I’m professional, reliable, and deeply committed to helping students succeed—not just in class, but in how they see themselves as learners. My approach to tutoring is rooted in clarity, patience, and real-world connection. I strive to demystify math by breaking down complex concepts into simple, relatable steps. Whether we’re covering algebra, geometry, statistics, or advanced topics, I tailor each session to meet the student’s unique learning style and pace.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of past material to reinforce understanding and identify any lingering gaps. From there, we dive into the current topic using guided practice, step-by-step problem solving, and targeted exercises. I like to include real-world examples to show how math applies beyond the classroom.
What sets me apart is my background: I’ve taught engineering and robotics at both the college and graduate level, so I bring a deep understanding of math, along with years of experience explaining it in accessible, engaging ways. I also bring a calm, encouraging energy to each session — students are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow without pressure.
My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and college-level students, including those preparing for exams or needing support in specific math courses like geometry, statistics, algebra, or pre-calculus. I also enjoy working with adult learners brushing up on math for career development or test prep.
