About Matt

Matthew McVeigh is a versatile multi-instrumentalist specializing in saxophone and piano. A graduate of the University of Maryland's music program, Matthew has developed a signature sound characterized by clarity, resonance, and a warm, lyrical quality. His artistic journey is defined by a broad stylistic range, from a classical training background to the sophisticated improvisations of jazz, and the deep resonance of spiritual music.

About the lesson

I believe that learning an instrument is about more than just reading notes on a page—it is about loving the sound you create. My approach focuses heavily on helping you develop a rich, personal tone and learning to make music that you genuinely enjoy hearing. From building a rock-solid foundation to exploring the freedom of improvisation, my goal will always be personal expression through your instrument.
