About Jayoon
Born and raised in Korea, I’ve also lived in Paris, Madrid, and L.A. I work as a freelance producer, translator, and content designer. When I first moved to L.A. as a child, I didn’t speak a word of English. I had my fair share of toilet-crying sessions during lunch breaks and struggled through ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. It was tough—but that’s how I learnt what it truly takes to master a new language. Because of that experience, I know exactly what it’s like to be in your shoes. I’ll be there to guide you, support you, and help you achieve your language goals!

I specialise in speaking-focused tutoring. Back in Seoul, I was an English speaking tutor for seven years, and now in London, I’m here to help you master Korean! As a native Korean who learnt English from scratch, I deeply understand the challenges of learning a second language. It can be tough, but with me, it will be fun and exciting! With my passion for culture, I can help you with everything—from understanding your favourite K-pop idols’ messages to breaking down Bong Joon-ho’s film scripts. Most importantly, I’ll teach you how to survive in Korea, from everyday conversations to must-visit spots and local recommendations! You'll learn not just the language but also the culture—because they go hand in hand!
