About Ava

My teaching approach in Math is focused, practical, and built for results. I specialize in helping students prepare for competitive exams like the SAT, GRE, and GMAT, where timing and accuracy are everything. My lessons combine concept clarity with smart strategies for solving problems under time pressure. We’ll work through targeted drills and timed practice tests that mirror the real exam experience. I teach students how to recognize question patterns, avoid common traps, and choose the most efficient solving method. Every lesson is tailored to your current level and goal score, so no time is wasted. We’ll review both strengths and weaknesses regularly to keep progress on track. I use simple language, step-by-step explanations, and real examples so nothing feels overwhelming. Along the way, I help students grow not just in skills, but also in confidence. Many of my students come in anxious about math—but leave feeling in control and well-prepared. I’ve supported learners with different starting points and backgrounds, helping them excel through dedication and a structured plan. Together, we’ll develop the focus and problem-solving speed you need to succeed.

About the lesson

I’m a Mathematics tutor with over 6 years of experience and a BA in Mathematics, specializing in topology and knot theory. My passion lies in helping students explore the fascinating world of shapes, spaces, and continuous transformations. Topology can seem abstract at first, but I make it approachable by using clear visual aids, models, and engaging real-world examples—such as molecular structures and tangled DNA strands.

My lessons emphasize deep understanding over memorization. Whether it’s untangling the mysteries of knots or exploring how spaces stretch and bend, I guide students to see the patterns hidden in complexity. I’ve worked with learners from high school to university, especially those drawn to abstract mathematics, theoretical physics, and even art and design.

Through topology, students discover how flexible thinking and precision go hand in hand. I encourage questions, curiosity, and creative connections across disciplines. Lessons are tailored to match each learner’s pace and interest, making abstract concepts feel vivid and concrete.
