My teaching method is a combination of skills obtained from teacher training with the International Yamaha Music Foundation and knowledge gained from ethno-musicology research. I use the "I-do, we-do, you-do" approach. I implement "teacher demonstration" and teach information "chunked into manageable pieces of knowledge", with the music learning embedded in ethno-musicological concepts where the student is empowered to learn to teach themself.

Details
$50/hour upfront in ten week blocks. no refund for lessons missed. I offer follow up written reports to parents for every lesson - inclusive of what to practice. I mark theory work for free in my own time. Price of lesson will increase for students wanting help at higher levels. This is negotiable. I value the voice of the student. Please only contact me if the student wants lesson - I do not teach children where it is the parents who want the student to have lessons and the children are not interested.
