About Hitasha
I am a graduate student in Engineering of Applied Data Science at University of Victoria. I hold a Italian Bachelor's degree in Engineering of Computing Systems.
I have been teaching since 2016: first I have started as a volunteer tutor in High School teaching maths; afterwards I became an official peer-to-peer tutor in my Undergrad studies, helping fellow students in their Engineering courses. During this 2-years experience in my Undergrad I have been teaching 5 different courses (C programming, linear circuits, eletronics, control systems, statistics).

My teaching method is student-oriented: I like to start with the student's needs and doubts.
The first thing I do is to ask the student what are the topics he/she finds more difficult. The reason behind this is to build a path to work together and overcome obstacles.
I prefer using diagrams and a lot of excercises because I believe in the quote "Practice makes perfect". This is quite obvious for the subjects I am teaching: maths (and related subjects) require extra practive to achieve the confidence needed for resolving difficult problems and better remembering formulas and theorems.
My approach is adaptable to every age and situation.
