About Julie
Because of my specialization in reading, I have been afforded the opportunity to teach first grade through fifth grade, both fluent and beginning readers. I have taught reading by phonetic approach, holistic approach to reading, and also reading comprehension. I have taught individuals as well as small groups. I believe that if a person can read successfully they hold the key to life long learning.

My lessons are tailored to the student’s individual learning style. I also feel it is important to develop a solid rapport with each student, taking into consideration which type of teaching fosters their particular method of learning. I also monitor and adjust accordingly.
