About Trilo

Hi! I'm a passionate science educator with a background in Health Sciences and Kinesiology and graduate-level education at the University of British Columbia (UBC).

I've had the opportunity to teach students across a wide range of ages and academic levels, from elementary school to university. My experience includes working as a university physiology teaching assistant, teaching Biology and Chemistry at an education center, and introducing younger students to Biochemistry through interactive, hands-on lessons.

I understand that science can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when tackling complex concepts for the first time. That's why I prioritize creating a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.

Beyond teaching, my experience as a basketball coach and mentor has strengthened my ability to motivate students, recognize their individual strengths, and help them overcome challenges.

With a strong academic background in Health Sciences and Kinesiology, graduate-level education at the University of British Columbia, and experience teaching science from elementary school to university, I specialize in making Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physiology engaging and easy to understand.

My teaching approach is personalized, interactive, and focused on building genuine understanding rather than memorization. I use real-world examples, visual diagrams, analogies, and practice questions to simplify complex scientific concepts while adapting to each student's learning style.
