About Yusra

Hello! I’m Yusra, a second-year Materials Science and Engineering student with a strong passion for teaching and helping others succeed in maths, chemistry, and physics. I offer tutoring for both GCSE and A-Level students, tailoring my lessons to each student’s individual learning style to make challenging concepts clear and manageable. Even as a student myself, I understand the challenges of mastering these subjects and know how to break topics down into simple, practical steps. My approach focuses on building confidence, improving problem-solving skills, and developing a genuine understanding of the material—not just memorisation. Whether you’re looking to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or simply gain a deeper understanding of the subject, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Together, we can turn challenges into achievements and make learning both effective and enjoyable.

About the lesson

I believe that every student learns best when lessons are clear, engaging, and tailored to their individual needs. My teaching style focuses on: - Breaking down complex topics into simple, understandable steps - Using real-life examples and applications to make abstract ideas more relatable - Encouraging students to ask questions and develop confidence in problem-solving - Helping with exam preparation and technique, not just subject knowledge Lesson Structure: A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. Sessions usually begin with a quick recap to check understanding, followed by focused teaching on a specific topic or skill. We then apply this knowledge through practice questions, worked examples, and discussion, ensuring students feel confident before moving on. My Qualifications & Experience: I am currently studying Materials Science and Engineering at university, consistently achieving high grades throughout my academic career. Alongside my studies, I have previous tutoring experience, supporting GCSE and A-Level students in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. My students have benefited from improved grades, greater confidence, and a stronger understanding of the sciences. Who My Lessons Are For: I offer tutoring for: - GCSE and A-Level students (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) - Students preparing for exams or aiming to strengthen their knowledge - Anyone looking for extra support, confidence-building, or clearer explanations of challenging topics My lessons are suitable for students of all abilities — whether you’re aiming for the highest grades or just need some extra help to keep up in class.
