About Shanley
As mentioned in my bio, I studied at Carnegie Mellon University, and majored in Chemical Engineering (with a second major in Biomedical Engineering). I worked in pharmaceuticals for 6 years before deciding to go into education. I am currently working towards my teaching certification in mathematics and chemistry.
I have 3 years of tutoring experience. I love to bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to my tutoring sessions, which I think helps build the student's confidence.

I prefer students to share with me the subject and unit that they are working on, some practice problems, and where they are struggling. This allows me sufficient time to prepare for the lesson.
Most of my lessons are structured towards repetition of practice problems. This will help build the student confidence and ensure that they feel prepared for their upcoming exam.
