About Alyssa
And A short intro about me :) I’m in my senior year studying math education at byu in Provo. I’ve been a math tutor for about 9 years, and i absolutely love it. I’ve enjoyed working with students anywhere from 14-55 years of age (I currently teach 3 classes of 10th graders at Orem High). I love soccer, rock climbing, camping, skiing, reading, dancing, and spending time with my niece and nephew
Historically, in just the first two months of tutoring, one Of my students raised her math grade from a D to an A. Another in just 3 month went from a C+ to an A+. Many of my students report increased confidence in themselves and their mathematics skills and that’s because that's my main mission. One even went on to become rookie of the year in the 2023 NFL.
I aim to build my students up so that they can feel capable of accomplishing anything they set out to do with mathematics or anything else they dream of.
