About Ayeishia
I am a former math peer tutor that has been peer tutoring for 3+ years. I truly love math and helping others better understand the materials at hand. I have worked with students one on one as well as groups up to five students at a time. The range of math subjects that I have tutored starts from basic math up to calculus I. I started as a peer tutor in a community college and tutored in an university as well as a learning center where the age of the students ranges from 4 to 14. I have an Associates degree in Pre-Engineering, so I have taken high level math courses as well as science courses. I also have a Bachelors degree in Food Service Management.

As a tutor, I try to understand where the student is struggling and try to determine how they learn the best; e.i., visual, verbal, combination, etc. I love working on a whiteboard if I get the chance to, but writing it out where the student can see and take notes is how I tutor. With that said, I encourage note taking and offer some ways to take notes as well as some tips to taking tests. I prefer to tutor students who has the desire for help and who is willing to learn.
