About Manpreet
Hi, I'm Manpreet! I'm a licensed CNA, a basketball and football enjoyer, and student with a strong academic background in math and science. I've completed 13 AP courses with 4s and 5s across the board, along with a 1510 SAT and 34 ACT, so I know exactly what it takes to succeed in these subjects and on these exams.
I've tutored through Kumon and worked privately with students, helping them move past rote memorization toward real understanding. My clinical training has taught me patience, clear communication, and how to explain complex ideas simply; These are skills I bring directly into every session.
I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, so I can adapt to a range of student backgrounds and communication styles.

Teaching Method & Techniques
I start every new student with a quick diagnostic to see where their understanding actually breaks down — not just what topic they're "behind" on, but the specific concept or skill gap causing it. From there, I teach concepts from first principles rather than shortcuts or memorization tricks, since that's what actually holds up on harder problems and exams later. I use a lot of visual breakdowns, real-world analogies, and practice problems that build in difficulty, checking for understanding at each step instead of moving on too fast.
A Typical Lesson
A session usually starts with a 5-minute check-in on what's been assigned in class or what's confusing from homework. Then we work through the core concept together, with me guiding students to solve problems themselves rather than watching me solve them. We finish with a few independent practice problems and a quick recap of what we covered, plus a short "preview" of what's coming next so they're not caught off guard in class.
What Sets Me Apart
I've personally taken 13 AP courses and scored 4s or 5s on all of them, along with a 1510 SAT and 34 ACT — so I'm not just teaching from a textbook, I've been through the exact exams and coursework my students are facing and know where students typically lose points. I also have tutoring experience through Kumon in addition to private tutoring, so I'm comfortable with both structured, methodical practice and more flexible, personalized instruction depending on what a student needs.
