About Cristina
I have more than 9 years of teaching experience. I have worked as private tutor at different levels (such as GCSE and A-levels) and as a teaching assistant and lecturer at university.
I recently finished my PhD in pure maths at the University of Birmingham and I continue doing research in Analysis.

Everyone has a particular teaching style. For me it is very important to understand the student’s goals (e.g. solve certain type of problems, understand a concept, improve marks, pass an exam, develop your general mathematical thinking, etc). Once we have our goals clear we can agree on a working plan, as short or long as it should be considering the time and expectations that you have.
I believe that maths is a peculiar subject to teach because it involves a lot of logical thinking and there are different ways to think, understand and solve a problem correctly. That's why instead of pushing my student to a predetermined way of thinking, I always try first to think in the same way that my student is thinking. I adapt and adjust my teaching method based on individual's learning processes. I can help you to improve your marks and to greatly improve your understanding of the subject.
