About Alec
I'm currently an active mathematics researcher in the fields of set theory and category theory, and I work as a tutor with several companies around the St. Louis area. In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, and playing with my dogs among many other things -- life is a blast, looking forward to learning with you!

I like to get to know each of my students individually, beginning with an assessment of where they're currently at in the course they're enrolled in, and moving to a more general assessment of their current mathematical maturity and comfort level with various methods in physics. Once a baseline is established, I systematically explain each intermittent step between where my student is and where they'd like to be, allowing you to do as much of the work at each stage as you're comfortable doing to help the material sink in.
