About El
I'm a current 3rd year Maths & Computer Science student, with a passion for learning and sharing everything I can about science!
In terms of academics, I've studied a variety of scientific topics to either A-Level or university level. My current studies focus on pure maths and computing theory, but I can confidently talk about any area of maths, and code in two programming languages. At A-Level, I also studied Chemistry, and won awards for both my maths and chemistry knowledge.
In terms of experience, I have worked informally as an in-person tutor before, with both GCSE and A-Level students. I have also studied Education concepts as part of my degree, and worked with young people from a variety of backgrounds both professionally and as a volunteer. My work as an assistant on student residentials is what inspired me to take up tutoring, and means I possess basic training for working with young people.
I also hold a valid DBS certificate.

I am offering lessons in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Computer Science for GCSE & A-Level students. For Maths, my focus is in Pure Maths, but I have also studied Decision Maths, Cryptography, and some Mechanics/Statistics! I can also teach basic Python & Java programming.
These lessons would be online and ideally 1-2 hours in length.
As a current student, I know that different learning styles and curriculums work for different people. I want to work with you to figure out what areas you need help with, and what learning styles are best. Sessions will be focused on pre-discussed topics, working through concepts or questions at your pace!
Much of my past experience of tutoring & otherwise working with young people was with neurodivergent students, so I am happy to help accommodate any additional needs! I have no specific training in this area, however.
