About Arjun
Hi! I’m Arjun, a dedicated student at the University of Warwick for Maths. I have a deep love of Maths and adore helping others understand the subject I am so enthusiastic about.
It started when I tutored a bottom set Maths student through a school programme. I was so proud to see him move up a set, gaining more mathematical fluency. I then decided to try and widen my reach, and help more students as willing to learn as I am. Since then, I have garnered over 3 years of experience tutoring 5 wonderful students - including supporting an AEN student twice a week through her Year 12 studies - and I look forward to continuing to teach many more!
I attained marks indicative of First Class Honours in the First Year of my degree, as well as 4 A* at A Level and straight 9s at GCSE - so I know the best ways to teach, understand and remember the content.
All my students have seen improvements in not just their grades but their passion and fluency for Maths.

My lessons are for Edexcel Maths and Edexcel Further Maths students of any ability. My 1-hour lessons typically involve 3 sections:
1) Starter Task - I recap previous lesson topics with slightly trickier questions to make sure the content stays within long-term memory.
2) Content Overview - giving examples and reasoning, and answering any potential questions. I have often made my own walkthrough videos too, especially for diagram work.
3) Exam Style Questions - past paper or exam-style questions to get you used to the type of question you’ll see in the exam.

I'm a fellow student in Arjun's classes and I can attest that he is better than any adult Maths teacher we have. Arjun's patience and not least his kindness is unrivalled when he's teaching. I am astonished by the persistence he has to get me to understand something I'm struggling with, constantly thinking of new angles to approach it and giving me a hi-five when the concept finally clicks. When the I fail to understand something in Further Maths, Arjun is always willing to set aside time to provide guidance and help. I recently had an hour and a half session with him on Decision Maths and we managed to sift through two whole chapters worth of content in a way that I was able to easily understand. I really cannot recommend him more. He is kind, he is passionate, he has ambitious aspirations and I've never seen him get below 90% in a test.
