About Thabo

The love of Mathematics as a subject started when I found pleasure seeking answers just only to explain it to someone when I was in grade 10 the year 2012. The love grew deeper when passing was no longer my worry, but understanding the perspective the examiner had in mind to solve the problem and apply the same skill to solve any other real-life mathematical problem. What makes me a great teacher is the ability to simplify it, by far friends, colleagues, ex-high school mates, and learners I have taught before all would say "we love the patience and passion you show"

About the lesson

I prefer teaching a group of learners, specifically teenagers, and I do this by making the simplest applications of maths to daily life. My first approach is giving the bigger picture, I try by all means to provide real-life examples that require solving by the Learning Topic step guide. For example, if the learning topic is Financial Maths, I will create the bigger picture with a scenario of a boy who has no money to buy a new pen and needs to choose from borrowing money to buy the pen at a discount with cash and selling later to gain interest or borrow the pen and lend it out to earn commission and return the pen later.
