About Sophie
I am a teacher and have been for nearly ten years, initially, I was a piano teacher, but I then trained to teach maths. I love working with young people and watching their confidence and knowledge grow with my support and help.
I have a good sense of humour and I understand the challenges and demands of the maths curriculum. I will always be patient and find a way to explain a concept to you in a way that you can understand.
I like to use games as well as worksheets to make the learning fun and interactive. I look forward to supporting you!

I am curious about each student and work to assess their understanding. From there I build their depth of understanding ensuring they have a solid foundation from which they can problem-solve any question. I work primarily with KS3 to KS4. I am keen to support any student wishing to have confidence in their GCSE maths, foundation, or higher level. I have worked as a teacher for 9 years and as a secondary school teacher for 6. A typical length of lesson would be 50 minutes.
I work online or in person. I use a mixture of resources that I feel will suit the student. I am a warm and friendly person and I strive to build confidence. I am patient, kind, and enthusiastic and I'm looking forward to working with your child.
