About Stephanie
As a mechanical engineering student at the University of Mississippi, I am equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective tutor in math. I have held numerous engineering positions that have allowed me to develop strong communication skills, which have been invaluable in my tutoring experiences.
For over five years, I have had the privilege of tutoring students in math, a subject I have had a lifelong love for. My goal is to inspire confidence in my students and help them develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for mathematics.
As an experienced tutor, I understand the importance of establishing my legitimacy and professionalism. I take my role as a tutor seriously and always prioritize the needs of my students. I believe that every student has the potential to excel in math, and I am committed to helping them achieve their academic goals.

My approach to teaching is focused on the student's needs and learning style. I believe in allowing the student to guide the discussion, as this helps me better understand their specific areas of difficulty. This way, I can tailor my teaching approach to match the student's learning process, making the lessons more effective and engaging.
To ensure that the student fully understands the concepts being taught, I provide examples and walk through problems step by step, with the student completing the work. As the student becomes more confident, I gradually step back and let them take the lead in problem-solving.
What sets me apart from other tutors is my ability to connect with my students on a personal level. I take the time to get to know each student and create a comfortable environment for learning. By doing this, I can better understand their unique learning styles and create a personalized teaching approach that is matched to their needs.
I have experience teaching students of all ages, from early elementary math to adult learners. I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals and develop a lifelong love of learning.
