About Serena
My name is Serena and I have tutored students in my spare time over a number of years. I like to engage fun into my lessons and discuss topics in as much depth as you want or need. I do encourage students to ask questions, especially if they are struggling with a topic. I am able to explain things in a number of different ways and can provide examples when needed. I do draw to help explain a particular point or I use images as learning aids. I am here to help students succeed and reach their academic and personal potential.

I teach students studying GCSEs and A Levels. I get an understanding of what you may be struggling with and help you to understand the basics before building up to the areas you are wanting to better understand. I find this makes it easier for students to comprehend troublesome areas. I like to use visuals when teaching and use images or I draw to help explain particular topics. I listen to the needs of my students and can teach various topics in the curriculum if required. I also encourage students to ask questions.
As well as teaching STEM subjects, I also teach students English and can teach English as a foreign language.
I have tutored students of all ages up to degree level for a number of years. I provide 1 h lessons, though if you prefer longer lessons this can be discussed. These lessons are online.
I have an undergraduate degree in Pharmacology, a Master's in Medical Engineering and a PhD in Medical Engineering.
