About Lavanya
I’m a highly dedicated and motivated 5th year medical student at Imperial College London. I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of teaching and helping others understand difficult concepts in an easier way.
I achieved 11 Grade 9s at GCSE and 3 A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics at A level, and so I know the challenges that students face when trying to get to the higher grades having been there myself and so would be able to help students achieve their full potential.
I achieved 2960 in my UCAT and 6.6, 6 and 3A in my BMAT. Both of these tests require an understanding of exam techniques, tips and tricks that I would be able to pass on.
Having received interviews and offers for medicine from Imperial College London, University College London, King’s College London and St George’s, I am equipped with the right skills to guide learners through the medical school application process.

I teach by using targeted questions to help students actively construct their own understanding rather than passively receive information. This deeper engagement builds durable foundations that support more advanced learning in the future.
To make this possible, I break complex concepts into smaller, clearer components so students can successfully master each piece before connecting them into the bigger picture.
