About Iptisam
Hi! I’m a first-year medical student with over two years of tutoring experience, having worked with students from Year 1 through to Year 11.
For younger students, I can provide support across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on Maths and the Sciences. For KS3 and GCSE students, I specialise in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics.
I tailor my lessons to each student’s individual needs and learning style. Whether a student needs help understanding a difficult topic, catching up on missed work, building confidence or preparing for exams, I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive and easy to understand.
My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to build their confidence and develop the skills they need to become more independent learners.

I use a mixture of explanation, guided practice, worked examples, questioning and exam-style questions to help students understand topics rather than simply memorising them. Where appropriate, I also provide additional practice and resources to help students continue learning between lessons.
Lessons are typically 45 mins to 1 hour but this can be adjusted depending on the students' needs.
Lessons can be tailored for students who want to build confidence, catch up on topics, strengthen their understanding, prepare for exams or simply get ahead with their studies.
