About David
I am a Master's student at the University of Waterloo where I do research. I also work part-time as a tutor and teaching assistant. I work with groups and one-on-one first-year university students teaching introductory theory as well as with upper-year students teaching more research methodology and critical analysis. in Sciences. I am originally from Ecuador and I have experienced how diverse backgrounds tend to influence our way of receiving and processing information. Finally, I have completed certificates in leadership, communication, and excellence in teaching that have provided me with tools for successful teaching.

I believe that any teaching session should focus on creating an environment where the student can make mistakes. I usually will try to see how your bases are and how the topics that you are struggling with are connected to it. I always try to use analogy, visualization, or storytelling in my lessons. This is always a good way to cover many learning styles at once which will help the student see the same material in different ways. I am open to teaching at any level (from high school to university level). I will adapt to targeting your learning preferences.
