About Jim

I'm a PhD student at MIT studying Chemical Engineering, and I graduated from Virginia Tech with a perfect 4.0 GPA. I've been tutoring for over three years and have helped dozens of students master challenging concepts in math, chemistry, and physics. I love seeing students gain confidence and achieve their goals!

About the lesson

I tailor every lesson to your specific needs and learning style, focusing on building deep understanding rather than memorization. A typical session starts by identifying trouble spots, then we work through problems together while I explain the underlying concepts and reasoning. I break down complex topics into manageable steps and provide plenty of practice to build confidence and problem-solving intuition.
