About Siavash
I'm a recent graduate from SFU with a double major in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry and Chemistry, with additional academic focus in infection and immunity.
My background includes cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, infectious disease, and vaccinology. This allows me to help students not only memorize biological information, but understand how different concepts connect.
I know biology can become overwhelming when there are many pathways, structures, terms, and processes to keep track of. I focus on simplifying difficult material, building strong foundations, and helping students understand the logic behind what they are learning.
I'm patient, approachable, and happy to explain the same concept in different ways until it makes sense.

Lessons are tailored to your course and the areas you find most difficult.
I can help with:
- Life Sciences 11
- Anatomy & Physiology 12
- AP and IB Biology
- First-year university and college biology
- Cell biology
- Molecular biology
- Genetics
- Biochemistry
- Introductory immunology
- Microbiology and infectious disease
- Homework, assignments, midterms, and final exam preparation
During lessons, I break complex topics into smaller steps, use diagrams and examples where helpful, and connect new material to concepts you already understand.
For exam preparation, we can work through practice questions, identify weak areas, and focus on the types of questions you are most likely to struggle with.
My goal is for you to leave the lesson understanding the material well enough to explain it yourself, not simply memorize it for the next test.
Lessons are available in person or online.
