Courtney has helped my son with his writing the last 3 summers in a row. I first contacted her to help close some gaps in his progress, and we keep coming back for enrichment!
We love working with Courtney because she is as fun and friendly as she is respectful of my child’s abilities and challenges. With her, James feels interested in learning, he is free to ask questions, supported in his development, and empowered to progress. Courtney always asks James about his life to make her content relevant - and then she adds touches of humor to keep him engaged. Probably most important, she is not only teaching him about English skills, but also about the growth mindset and about the importance of honest self-evaluation, which are such rare and important skills! I think mindset and self-evaluation were part of her Master’s degree dissertation if I’m not mistaken.
