About Louis
Dr Louis Mbua Egbe is a multi-award-winning engineer, educator, researcher, inventor and
aerospace technology entrepreneur with extensive experience in engineering, STEM education
and tutoring. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Middlesex University, an MSc in
Thermal Energy Engineering, and a BEng from Cranfield University. His career includes
engineering research with National Power Plc and teaching across further and higher education
in the UK, including serving as a Panel Tutor in Engineering at the University of Cambridge
Institute of Continuing Education.
Dr Louis is Founder of Teach Engineering & Technology, providing STEM tutoring, engineering
education and skills development, and leads aerospace research, development and
consultancy through Silencium Aerospace Ltd. His current work includes patent-pending AI
driven eVTOL energy-allocation, control and mission-profile digital-twin technology for
preliminary aircraft design, alongside Advanced Air Mobility techno-economic intelligence for
engineering feasibility, infrastructure and operational planning.
His aerospace research, design and inventions have been presented at Advanced Engineering
UK. He has won several national and international awards in teaching, education and
engineering.

My approach to tutoring is practical, structured and tailored to each student’s level, goals and learning needs. I aim to help students understand the principles behind a subject rather than simply memorising formulae or methods. I break complex Maths, Physics, Chemistry, STEM and Science topics into clearer, manageable steps and use worked examples, problem-solving exercises and real-world applications to build both understanding and exam confidence.
Lessons are adapted to the individual student. I begin by identifying areas of strength and topics that need improvement, then develop the lesson around clear learning objectives. I encourage students to ask questions, explain their reasoning and develop independent problem-solving skills.
A typical lesson lasts 1 hour, although the structure and pace can be adapted depending on the student’s needs and objectives.
I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Middlesex University, an MSc in Thermal Energy Engineering and a BEng from Cranfield University. I have extensive experience in engineering, STEM education and tutoring, and have taught in further and higher education in the UK, including serving as a Panel Tutor in Engineering at the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education.
I am also a multi-award-winning engineer, educator, researcher and inventor. My professional experience allows me to bring practical engineering knowledge into my teaching, helping students connect classroom concepts with genuine scientific and mathematical applications.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-level students studying Maths, Physics, Chemistry, STEM and Science as well as university students studying Engineering and related subjects. I can support students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve problem-solving skills, prepare for examinations or develop confidence with more advanced technical topics.
