About Echo

I started to learn vocal music from 4 years old, piano from 6 years old, guitar from 12 years old, and ukulele from 20 years old. I’ve been studying piano and guitar for over ten years and became a member of the Chinese Musicians Association. I have over 13 years of teaching experience and my students were over 100 throughout the time. My student group includes pre-school students, college students, adults, and elderly people. My class focuses on fingerstyle guitar, singing as well as music theory, providing you lots of options to try. With me, you can learn a large variety of different artists’ styles, such as Kotaro Oshio, Masaaki Kishibe, Sungha Jung, Tommy Emmanuel, etc.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Echo, a guitarist. No matter if you’d like to learn guitar from scratch or polish your current skills, I’m your best choice~ With more than 10 years’ teaching experience in the United States and mainland China, I’m very beginner-friendly. I’d like to tailor-make the class according to my students’ levels and their specific needs. Each lesson usually takes one hour but it could also be adjusted based on students’ schedules. I’m bilingual with Mandarin and English. Mandarin is my first language and I’m still polishing my English communication skills. If you don’t mind, we can have class in English. If you are interested, join me in the music journey~ 无论你是对弹吉他有兴趣但零基础，还是想在现有的水平上做提升，我的课程都是你很好的选择。

Sylvia

I think Echo is quite a multi-dimensional music teacher. She could be really logical when she explains the complex music theory, but when she sings while playing guitar, the way she interprets the songs is so sensitive and delicate.
Previously as a fan, I liked her style so much; now as a student, I fell in love with the way she teaches. I really appreciate how patient and helpful Echo is on my path of pursuing music.
