About Kai

As a Spelman woman, I pride myself on my professionalism and loving spirit. I will always be there to encourage you at tough times but will always push you to learn more and practice more. I firmly believe that a positive relationship with math comes with practice and hard work.

About the lesson

Considering that I am a STEM major at in college, it’s safe to say that math is my strongest subject in school. However, because of my long education in math, I understand that it can be challenging and sometimes discouraging at times. In order to minimize these challenges, I try to cater to each individual’s learning style to make learning more enjoyable and personal.

I have a deep love for math and feel it is essential to be comfortable with numbers, as they will forever be a part of our everyday lives.

I focus on mind maps in order to allow students to understand a subject enough to connect its concepts to previous and future concepts.
