About Gerhard

I am a German native speaker who moved to the UK in ‘88. I have been teaching German in adult education at all levels, tutored GCSE in the classroom, or did private lessons in small groups. I am mostly available for online tutoring but home visits can also be considered. I am in my 70s and would love to help you with conversational German as well as German grammar, reading and writing. I will explain it very logically. Anyone can learn German! Pronunciation is generally easy and grammar, if needed, can easily be learned to expand your language skills beyond what you have thought you could achieve.

About the lesson

Learning German is fun. Whether you are an adult learner who wants to brush up on his or her German language skills, or even learn conversational German from scratch, or whether you are taking a GCSE in German, I can help you. And it will be fun. Moreover, I will help you in very practical terms to understand the fundamental principles and building blocks of the German language. If you have experience with another foreign language it will help you with your German language skills.

Gerhard helps my child with German language lessons. The lessons are well-structured and tailored to the topics we provide (usually homework). Gerhard supports my child with pronunciation, grammar, and conversational vocabulary. We’ve only had two lessons so far, but I’ve already noticed an improvement in my child’s confidence. I would recommend Gerhard if you are looking for a lessons
