About Yu Ting
Hi! I’m Vanessa, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan and currently studying at UC Berkeley. I’m friendly, patient, and open-minded, and I really enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. I’ve had experience tutoring English and math, and I love helping others learn in a relaxed and encouraging environment. I’m also passionate about Taiwanese culture, travel, food, and connecting with people from around the world. I’d love to share my language and culture with you while getting to know you too!

Hi! I’m Vanessa, a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from Taiwan and currently a student at UC Berkeley. I love helping students feel comfortable speaking Chinese in real-life situations.
My lessons are personalized based on your level and goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner, want to improve your conversation skills, or are interested in Taiwanese culture, I’ll make each lesson practical, relaxed, and interactive.
We can practice everyday conversations, pronunciation, vocabulary, useful expressions, and topics that are relevant to your life. I’m also happy to introduce you to Taiwanese culture, food, travel, and everyday life along the way.
I have experience tutoring English and math, so I’m used to explaining concepts clearly and adjusting my teaching style to different learners. My goal is not just to help you memorize Chinese, but to help you actually feel confident using it.
Whether you want to learn Mandarin for travel, school, work, relationships, or simply because you love the language, I’d love to learn with you!
