About Xinyi

I was born in mainland China. A native mandarine speaker myself, I come to develop a keen interest in English and language in general. However, it is always passing on what I am capable of and helping others progress that thrill me the most.

I major in English Education as an undergraduate, which, alongside various internships and private tutoring roles I have taken up, affords me with the necessary language knowledge and skills in English Language education.

In this post-pandemic era, my attention is also inevitably drawn to the rise of online teaching and the wonderful boosting effects it has produced on both teachers and students: at a time when schools in my region had to shut down, I used to work with my then senior two student on her grammar and writing through Zoom. I was not optimistic at first, but I soon started to appreciate the potential to make my lessons equally informative and interactive with the help of clear lesson planning and multimedia tools etc.

With you, my dearest prospective students, I believe we can do just the same. Looking forward to meeting you.

About the lesson

I can provide learning materials for you or you can come to me with whatever you would love to focus on. Together we can devise a plan for you and through practice, hit that goal you have in mind. (*Learning just for fun or to hone in your language skills is also welcome.)
