About Sara

Hi, I'm Sara. I'm a Spanish teacher for kids and young adults. I studied Spanish language education at UNAM (#1 University in Mexico). For the last five years, I have worked with students in both elementary classrooms and private tutor sesions. As a teacher, I like to stay updated on all the new research I can, because there are always things to improve.

About the lesson

• My classes are aimed at students between 5 - 12 years old.
• I adapt my methods to the needs, the goals, and the learning styles of each of my students.
• One of the things that defines me as a teacher is the use of projects and crafts in my classes. Creativity is one of many great tools we can use in the language learning process.

I took Spanish for five years, from 7th-11th, and then forgot most of it. After a year of working with Sara, my Spanish was waaay better than it had ever been, and after almost two years, my Spanish was good enough to travel to Mexico on my own!

Now I watch movies in Spanish, read novels (slowly, haha), and, most importantly for me, can work and build real relationships in Spanish with the community members who are a big part of my job.

Thank you, thank you!
