About Carlos

Hello! I’m a native Spanish tutor with over five years of teaching experience. I’ve lived in Italy, the UK, and Japan, where I studied at Waseda University. I bring a rich mix of Latin American and European cultural insights to my lessons. I hold a degree in Japanese and History of Art from SOAS, University of London. Because I’ve learned several languages myself, I understand the challenges students face. This experience shapes my practical, supportive teaching style. My goal is to make learning Spanish engaging, effective, and enjoyable. I focus on real communication, clear guidance, and building confidence, so students feel comfortable using the language from the very beginning.

About the lesson

My teaching style is practical, friendly, and fully adapted to each student. I focus on real communication and help you start speaking with confidence from the very first lesson. I use clear explanations, guided practice, and natural conversation to make learning effective and enjoyable.

A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up, followed by new vocabulary or grammar, simple practice activities, and real-life speaking exercises. I also offer personalised homework when useful, always keeping your goals in mind.

What sets me apart is my international background. Having lived and studied in Italy, the UK, and Japan, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and create a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where you can progress comfortably.

My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners adults. Whether you want conversation practice, grammar support, Latin American Spanish, or more confidence when speaking, I shape each lesson around your needs.
