About Brenda
My name is Brenda. I live in Cape Town, South Africa very close to the beach. I taught my 3 daughters how to study and learn from a young age, as well as how to make all subjects and learning fun. My girls excelled academically at school - not because they were that much cleverer than others, but because I taught them to work smarter and not harder. And we had such fun doing it. They would visit friends, come home and say “they don’t know how to learn - their parents didn’t teach them like you teach us”. And so, my daughters also became the teachers! I find huge joy in nurturing people and helping them grow. I want to share all that I know. My wish is to teach young children, teenagers, older adults and Business English to those who need it.

I have an exceptional command of the English language and know how to make it fun, exciting and easy to learn at all levels. I am creative and ensure that I tailor my teaching to individuals, making each lesson unique. I am patient and kind as well as being solution driven and an excellent motivator. I am intuitive to my learners’ needs and am aware of the need to also be results driven. I have the awesome ability of being able to teach learners how to learn. Retention of information is key when learning any subject - English included. I am always excited about passing on my knowledge. Knowledge is power.
