About Ralph
Hi, I’m Ralph — a South African Network & Security Engineer with hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise networks across data centers, cloud platforms, and multi-site environments. I specialize in: FortiGate firewalls (30G/70F/120G/200G series) Aruba & Dell enterprise switching SD-WAN design and troubleshooting IPSec VPNs, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF) Network automation (Python & NetBox integrations) Security fundamentals and best practices I’ve worked on complex projects involving high-availability firewalls, multi-vendor infrastructure, cross-connects, cloud integrations, and large-scale network refreshes. But despite the complexity of my day-to-day work, I love breaking things down into simple, clear lessons that anyone can understand. Teaching and mentoring new engineers is something I genuinely enjoy — especially helping beginners build confidence and understand concepts they once found intimidating
