About Hailey
I am in the MD/PhD program at the University of Alberta. I am currently working towards my PhD in Neuroscience, studying Alzheimer's disease and prion diseases. I have undergraduate degrees in both electrical biomedical engineering and neuroscience. I love math and tutoring, and I have previously taken part in many volunteer tutoring and teaching experiences.

I find that the most effective tutoring method is to guide students through practice problems in the area that they are struggling with. I get students to walk me through the problem. When they are unsure of a step, I jump in to provide additional guidance and fill in any knowledge gaps. I believe that guiding students to solve problems on their own is the best way to foster a deeper understanding of the material and build confidence.
