About Crystal
I am a nurse practitioner in the field of cardiology who practices in a level one high volume/acuity tertiary care center in the city of Detroit. I lead a team of nurse practitioners both in the inpatient setting as well as in the clinic setting. I hold several professional memberships and was recently selected to be inducted as an Associate of the American College of Cardiology. I enjoy pursing quality improvement projects, which have allowed me to publish my work. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge through presentations and speaking as faculty at various conferences.

I am a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner with 20 years of experience, specializing in intensive care and cardiology. I love nursing and I love teaching nursing and helping nursing students succeed! My minor during my doctorate is in teaching which provided fantastic rewards. While I’m not ready to give up my clinical practice to pursue a full time career in education, I still want to share my passion for both the nursing profession and teaching with you!
