About Autumn
I am an RN with 8 years of nursing experience, with a background in pediatrics, PACU, and NICU. I am currently completing my graduate degree as a nurse practitioner. I know firsthand how stressful nursing school can be, and I love breaking down difficult concepts into something that actually makes sense. My goal is to help you understand the why behind nursing, not just memorize the answers, while building your confidence along the way!

My goal is to make nursing concepts easier to understand rather than simply helping students memorize information. I use a combination of approaches such as practice questions and active recall to help students understand the why behind the answer.
I can tailor each session to the student's individual learning style and current level of understanding. Depending on the topic, we may break down difficult concepts step by step, work through practice questions together, or identify gaps in understanding and build from there.
Each lesson is personalized to what the student is currently struggling with.
I bring real clinical experience into tutoring. I have been a registered nurse for 8 years, including several years working in the NICU, and I am currently completing my graduate education as a nurse practitioner. Because I have been both a nursing student and a practicing nurse, I understand how overwhelming nursing school can feel. My approach is supportive and judgment-free. If something doesn't make sense the first time, that's okay. We will approach it from a different angle until it clicks.
I work with undergraduate nursing students who want additional support understanding course material, preparing for exams, or developing stronger clinical reasoning skills. I can help with fundamentals of nursing, med-surg, pediatrics, pharmacology, assessment, critical thinking and prioritization, NCLEX-style questions, etc.
