About Alexander
My name is Alexander, and I am a Year 12 student based in Frankfurt, Germany.
What sets me apart as a tutor is not only my age, but also my academic journey. I went from struggling with science subjects to achieving Grade 9s in IGCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, as well as six Grade 9s, two Grade 8s, and one Grade 7 across my 12 IGCSEs. Because I have experienced the challenges of learning these subjects firsthand, I understand where students often get stuck and how to explain difficult concepts in a clear and approachable way.

My lessons are designed for younger students who want to build confidence, strengthen their understanding of Chemistry, and develop effective study habits. I focus on breaking complex topics into simple, manageable steps, encouraging questions, and adapting explanations to each student's learning style.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and conducted online. As a recent student myself, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and progressing at their own pace.
While I am at the beginning of my tutoring journey, I bring recent academic success, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
Before beginning regular lessons, I would like to arrange a trial session with each student. This would enable us to get to know one another, assess whether my teaching style is a good fit for the student, and identify any areas where additional support may be needed. It also gives both the student and parent an opportunity to discuss goals and expectations, helping ensure that future lessons are as effective and personalised as possible.
