About Gerardine
I am a mature woman that comes from a corporate background. One of my responsibilities in my 15 years in the corporate world was to train staff on new systems and programs. I have 2 kids that were homeschooled, as well as teaching on weekends in an unformal environment. I am very patient and calm. I am full of energy and love making things fun and memorable while maintaining a professional relationship with learners. I strive to obtain the learners confidence and trust so that they feel free to come to me with what they are struggling with or during the lesson.

My approach is Communicative Language Teaching. I use various materials relevant to everyday living eg. Videos, music, books and role play along with group participation if necessary. English is my native language. Learners will always remember a lesson as I will be creative and will ensure that learners are always intrigued. I am able to teach young and old learners that are willing to widen their horizons. Lessons are full of energy and encouragement.
