About Andrei

Teaching is more than knowing the subject. It’s the delivery.

I’m Andrei, and I’ve spent over 10 years helping students work through subjects they find difficult. In math, I look for the point where the method stops making sense, then explain it in a way the student can follow.

My lessons are patient, practical and built around the learner. Students have time to ask questions, try a different approach and explain their thinking. I also create Learning Leap worksheets and quizzes, giving us focused practice beyond the examples in a textbook.

For younger students, I keep parents informed about the skills we are building and what to practice next.

About the lesson

Math gets easier when the missing steps are made clear. Whether your child is falling behind, preparing for a test or ready for a challenge, we start with the work in front of them and find the right next step.

Support includes:
• Arithmetic, fractions, decimals and percentages
• Ratios, rates and word problems
• Algebra, equations and polynomials
• Geometry, measurement and graphs
• Homework, course review and test preparation

A typical lesson starts with a short skill check. I explain an example, we solve a related problem together, and the student tries one independently. If a step is shaky, we work on it before moving on. The aim is to understand the method well enough to use it on a new question.

I work with Grades 1–12, including homeschool and international learners. Bring your schoolwork, course outline or homeschool materials; I can add targeted Learning Leap questions and visual examples where helpful.

Lessons are one-to-one online, in English or Russian, with weekday morning availability in Toronto/Eastern Time.

Send me the student’s grade or course, a topic they find difficult and your time zone. I’ll help identify a useful starting point.
