About Matthew
I am a recent graduate from the MPhil programme in Economics at the University of Oxford. My thesis there was in Microeconomic Theory and Public Economics, and I addressed questions relating to market design for the government. I have taken courses in all areas of economics at a graduate level. I also took substantial extra courses in Mathematics during my Undergraduate degree at a level beyond what is generally required for UK Economics degrees. Consequently, I have some additional capability in mathematics, especially linear algebra and real analysis. I can write both R and Stata code.

I have worked with dozens of students at many UK and US universities. I have taught all areas of Undergraduate Econometrics, Macroeconomics, and Microeconomics. I also have experience with Masters level Microeconomics, Mathematics and Statistics for Economists, and many MBA courses in Economics or Statistics. I teach on a whiteboard in an interactive style, using a mixture of real-world examples, intuition, and examples. I am flexible in terms of format and can teach both content and help with exam-style questions.
