About Sipho
Hi everyone! My name is Sipho and I am a private tutor. I help struggling scholars in their learning process. Since graduating from University of Johannesburg, I have accrued a good deal of tutoring experience - plenty of time over which to develop my tutoring philosophy and style.
I have 2 years of tutoring 1st year students in Statistics and realized how their mathematics foundation was not very solid. I believe in tutoring grade 3's to grade 9's to better their understand in mathematics.
I love teaching and explaining mathematics and relate it to real life examples.

I always ask the kids to explain their work. Let them do most of the talking. Let them explore on their own. With all the answers being available on the internet the only way I know if they’ve understood it is by asking them to explain how they arrived at their answers and why they chose that way :). This is the main difference between a classroom teacher and a one-on-one tutor. Classroom teachers do not have this luxury because they deal with at least more than 20 kids at the same time.
