About Dana
I am a Ramapo College graduate and a member of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honors Society. My proudest achievement as a member of Sigma Tau Delta was having my essay submission selected for presentation at the annual conference. I am a poet and singer at heart, a teacher by trade, and human by nature. I am the oldest of 6 adopted children. I totally understand any situation you might throw my way. My commitment to my own success as a reader and a writer, combined with all the grace I’ve allotted to my own speed bumps, wiggle their way into my teaching style.

I believe in meeting students where they are and figuring out what lessons are best for them to rise up! Through skill development in reading and writing, we get to learn about the world in depth and communicate to a variety of audiences effectively. It is my goal that every student feels positive about ELA and gains confidence in their skills.
My experience ranges from struggling readers to insecure essay writers - even hopeful poets and creative writers! By getting to know your student, my hope is that we identify their educational need and we pursue it together.
